Letter to IRD: Employee claims no service done in Hong Kong

Dear Commissioner of Inland Revenue,

Employee: Mr. Raymond Yeung (HKIC: T94735846)

In reply to your letter dated 1 June 2020, we would like to supply the following information:

(1) A copy of the employee's employment contract is enclosed.

(2) The employee was seconded to our China factory throughout the year ended 31 March 2020. He did not carry out any duties in Hong Kong. All periods of his stay were for vacation and family reunion purpose. He did not return to the Hong Kong office for any business.

(3) The total salaries paid to Mr. Yeung in the year ended 31 March 2020 is $700,000.

(4) A schedule showing the employee's traveling in and out of Hong Kong during the year ended 31 March 2020 is enclosed.
